Thaçi's role at Rambouillet reflected the shift of political weight within the Albanian camp: representatives of the KLA became a central part of the delegation alongside the LDK and independent figures [1] [2].
In the case before the Specialist Chambers, the indictment confirmed in 2020 includes charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes during 1998–1999. For the exact procedural status, including any first-instance or appeal decision, see the case record in the court case tracker [3].
An indictment is not proof of guilt. Nor is a trial of individuals a verdict on the KLA as a whole, on each of its members, or on the aim of liberation.
