Hashim Thaçi

Hashim Thaçi was a member of the KLA's political leadership and headed the Kosovo Albanian delegation at the Rambouillet talks in 1999. After the war he became one of Kosovo's leading politicians, serving as prime minister and later as president. In 2020 the Kosovo Specialist Chambers confirmed an indictment against him and three others; he resigned as president. Thaçi's role at Rambouillet reflected the shift of political weight within the Albanian camp: representatives of the KLA became a central part of the delegation alongside the LDK and independent figures [1] [2].
