The establishment of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers

On 3 August 2015 the Assembly of Kosovo adopted a constitutional amendment and Law No. 05/L-053 on the Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor's Office, Kosovo judicial institutions with international staff seated in The Hague.

Their temporal jurisdiction covers crimes committed from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2000 relating to the Council of Europe report of 7 January 2011 and the investigations of the EU Special Investigative Task Force. The Chambers became judicially operational in July 2017 [1] [2] [3].
