The suspension of Kosovo's Assembly and Government

On 5 July 1990 the Serbian Assembly passed a law terminating the work of the Kosovo provincial Assembly. The same day Radio Television Prishtina was taken over and Albanian-language broadcasting stopped.

On 26 June 1990 the Serbian Assembly had declared “special circumstances” in Kosovo [1]. Sources variously use “suspended” and “dissolved” [2].
