The Yugoslav authorities rejected republic status but made concessions, including the founding of the University of Prishtina (1969/1970) [1]. According to Sabrina Ramet, police dispersed the demonstrations, leaving 37 injured (13 of them police) and one dead; the organisers were later jailed [1].

The Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo lists Prishtina, Podujevo, Gjilan and Ferizaj as sites of the 27 November protests [2]; this is an institutional commemoration page, not an independent study.
